In addition to my own aviation library, the files of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation archived in the Federal Archives (SFA) served as the main source for my research on Switzerland’s air transport companies. Other sources were books and journals in the collection of the Swiss National Library (NL), as well as documents from the Historical Archives of the Swiss PTT.

The numerous documents photographed during my visits in the reading rooms formed the basic material for my articles on Swiss aviation companies. In the interest of a better understanding and legibility of business correspondence and other documents, I transcribed the relevant documents. This elaborate work – presented in chronological order within companies – is at any interested person’s disposal.
